Final Check-In Letter 5-26-10

Dear Ms. Priester,
This school year has been a lot of fun. I have learned a whole lot and have realized that school is an important aspect for a successful life all around. I have done a lot of fishing, football, lifting, kicking and other stuff in the last few months. I have been training with a kicking coach to work on my field goals, punts, and kick off’s. John Matich, my coach, has been a great help to me and I truly feel as though I can make it to a Division 1 college by the end of 2011. I currently go on Saturdays and Sundays and practice with some of my friends who are the top kickers in the San Diego area. I will be leaving the Academy in a week or so to go to Escondido High School. I am very excited about this. I will be playing football, soccer, and baseball. I also will be doing a lot of fishing, training, and working with my friends in Las Vegas and I will be seeing my family in Florida. This summer should be a lot of fun. The things I would like to do the most are to go to the beach, fish for yellowtail, play football, and hang out with my friends. I will also be attending a church volunteer sports camp with my friends and a church retreat in July. I am very excited for these events and feel as though this football season will be one of the best that I have ever had. I hope to make a lot of long field goals and put myself on the map as a solid U.S. kicker. This year has been a lot of fun and I really appreciate all that you and Ms. Raquel have done for me during my time in this classroom. Thanks a million:D

APA Format Blog Post 5-12-10

APA is a format use in the writings of research papers. It is convenient because it allows access to endless amounts of information from different authors or researchers. However, you must in fact "cite you source", this means you must acknowledge the original finder of the information that you have just used in your paper. If this is not done, it may be labeled "plagiarism" or the work of someone else that you have stolen and called your own. The source of each fact that you assemble should be cited in parenthesis after EACH fact used. When coming across directly stated quotes from an author or researcher, their words must be in quotations with their name following. It is not necessary for you to state where you found the quote. A reference page is used at the end of the paper and is important in letting people know what websites your information has come from. For example, "google" is not a site in which you can get your information. It is just a search engine leading you to the actual site where the information is found. That is what you state in your reference page. In my research paper I will most definitely use the APA format to ensure great success as a writer.

I am very excited for the weekend. Tonight I will be going to hang out with friends then probably go to a party. I will then have to get up early tomorrow because my friend Justin and I are going to go fishing down in San Diego. It is the South West Yacht Club that is having a Rock cod tournament. That should be a lot of fun and I am very excited. I hope to catch some nice rock fish and some nice lingcod. That night we will probably be going out to eat or just hanging out with some other friends. On Sunday I will probably go golfing then chilling with my friends Justin, Leon, Chris, and Bub. That should be a lot of fun. I also want to hang out with Kaelynn and that will make my weekend for sure. I am very excited and can not wait for the weekend to get started.

Importance Of Blogs 5-5-10

Blogs are very important to todays society, and to the lives of people all over. They can be used for a number of different things such as advertisements, the showing of work or products, a place to get information on subjects, and a place to just be yourself. Without blogs, Today's students and all around generation of kids would be at a heavy disadvantage to many things. Blogs are very helpful and should be taken very seriously. It is also smart to be safe with your information and do not talk to people you have never met before.

Prom 2010!!!!

This year's prom was very interesting. I did not have alot of fun, although it was still nice to get out and have a nice dinner and listen to some good music. It was on a thursday night so it left my weekend open to other things. I had a geat weekend full of fishing and other things. I hope next weekend is just as fun as this one. Earthquake Narrative

On April 4Th, 2010, there was a 7.2 earthquake that hit Mexicali. There was minimal damage due to technological advances. I personally did not feel any sort of earthquake what so ever the entire weekend. However, people I know had mentioned that they had noticed the quake. Above all, nobody was killed or injured and that is the most important thing. I Jason Dunbar, survived the Easter Earthquake 2010.

This weekend should be very, very fun indeed. Today afterschool, I will be driving up to Newport Beach with some friends. This weekend I will be doing alot of fishing. On Saturday, I will be going to Lake Poway with a friend from Valley Center. On Sunday, I will go to Lake Miramar with a friend from Scripps Ranch in our float tubes. This should be alot of fun and I am very excited.

The best figurative language game I played tonight is “Paint by Idioms”, because it was a lot of fun and it tested my knowledge of idioms. In order to play this game, I had to answer questions about what the idioms meant and the “joke” aspect of it. My final score on this game was 7-1. Another enjoyable figurative language game is “Battleship”, because it was very challenging yet it taught a good lesson. My Christmas Vacation 2010

My Christmas break was a lot of fun. I did a lot of fishing and a lot of hanging out with friends. I took a fishing charter out of Oceanside, fished for trout at Lake Poway, Lake Dixon, Wolhford Lake, and Laguna Niguel. I caught 4 trout over break with my biggest being 5.4 pounds. That was my biggest trout ever and I am very proud of that catch. I also hung out with some of my best friends and had a lot of fun. At the end of vacation, I went surfing with my friend from bear valley and had a great time. This break was a lot of fun and a very successful couple of weeks for me. I cannot wait to do it all again very soon. My overall favorite part of my Christmas break was definitely fishing at Laguna Niguel with my friend Taylor from Valley Center. That was a great experience and a delightful trip in many ways.
